LIFT – SWING SHOE Lift
function features four double acting, hydraulically synchronized
cylinders mounted in pivoting lift channels. Anti-friction rollers
mounted in lift channels control vertical movement. The lift cylinders
connect to two structural steel shoes (8” high x 6” x 1” thick).
Lifting is hydraulically synchronized for improved shoe alignment. The
swing shoe function features four hydraulic cylinders to move shoes in
and out for easy positioning over loads. Exclusive Gerlinger design
locates swing pivot point over the load, resulting in positive inward
swing of shoes to more securely hold the load. Two levers are provided,
one for lift control and one for swing control. SPRING
SUSPENSION Independent
suspension system with heavy duty steel coil springs mounted in all four
corners. Springs are contained in a housings and protected against
damage from dirt and moisture. External shock absorbers provide a
smooth, controlled ride. WHEELS
AND WHEEL FORKS Heavy
duty wheels mounted on stationary axles with tapered roller bearings.
Wheel sprockets are mounted on wheel hubs and attached to wheel flanges
by studs/ bolts and nuts. Wheel forks are single prong fork leg cast
from high strength alloy steel to withstand shock and wheel loads. This
design reduces down time for tire changing and brake service. FRAME Heavy
duty steel box construction. Each corner is box welded with rugged
internal gusseting. Frame reinforced with cross members (front, center,
and rear). Removable interior access panels provide superior service
access to frame mounted components.
